If you’re following me on Instagram, you saw I put a question sticker on my story a few days ago asking y’all to submit any questions y’all had about Demarcus and I’s relationship! Today is our 7 year anniversary so I thought it would be fun to do a couples Q&A and spill some tea! 😉 I should have put a disclaimer to NOT ask the baby question because I should have known that would be the most popular question! Lol. I also didn’t answer any proposal questions or go into how me met because I have a full blog post on that story here that you can check out! But I did get some other really good and juicy questions so if you’re interested in hearing what we had to say regarding arguments, babies, pet peeves, funniest moments, and more; then keep reading!
Q: When will you start making babies?
A: I figured we’d go ahead and answer this one first since it was asked the most. We are waiting until after we are married to start having babies! Although if it was up to Demarcus, we’d probably already have them! LOL I just prefer it this way and it makes me more comfortable. Plus I want to be in the best shape of my life in my wedding dress! ;-P
Q: What pet peeves do you guys have of each other?
A: For me it’s definitely the fact he leaves his shit EVERYWHERE! Like y’all, this man will literally put his dirty clothes next to the laundry basket rather than in it and his bag of trash NEXT TO the trash can instead of just putting it in the dang trash can! Like why lol. And I’m just constantly having to put his stuff in its correct place. 😛 For him, it’s whenever I say “we need to talk” or “I have something to tell you”, etc., because he HATES the anticipation of not knowing what it is lol.
Q: What do you guys fight about most?
A: We don’t really fight much but honestly it’d probably be about where we’re gonna go eat for dinner when we are going to eat out LOL. It literally takes forever to decide because he “never cares” and I’m indecisive and hate having to choose!
Q: Ways you guys have grown together?
A: Omg SO MANY WAYS! But the main one we’d say is probably just our way of communicating with each other. It has definitely grown and improved over the years and we’ve gotten better about listening to understand instead of listening to respond.
Q: Funniest moment together?
A: Demarcus’ 21st birthday for sure!! All I’m gonna say is there was some rapping involved and someone crawling around on the floor! LOL
Q: Hardest thing you have been through as a couple?
A: My brother passing away.
Q: Who said I love you first?
A: I’m pretty sure it was me but honestly that was so long ago we hardly remember!
Q: What makes you guys so compatible?
A: We’d say it’s probably our mindset and outlook on life for one. And then the fact that stuff that would typically create friction in a relationship are things that either don’t bother us or that we’ve never had an issue with. (Ex., living together.)
Q: What’s your favorite quality of each other?
A: For Demarcus, I would say it’s his peace and faith. He is always so positive, patient, and understanding and just has such a positive outlook on life majority of the time. He’s one of those people who always wakes up in a good mood, full of energy, and ready for the day. I WISH I was blessed with that quality lol. Demarcus says for mine it would be my drive and how I put a lot of care into anything I do.
Q: What makes your relationship so strong?
A: I guess it would be the same things that make us compatible. We don’t fight about much and our pet peeves and the small things that do annoy us, aren’t major! 🙂
